54th BSA Elk Antler Auction - 2nd Round
As you probably already know, the 54th Annual BSA Elk Antler Auction did not happen in May this year, due to COVID concerns. We held an online auction on October 2nd, which was very successful, "Thanks to all" who participated. However, we did not have time and resources to get all of the antlers in that auction. So, it is time for "Round 2". This time around we will be featuring many matched pairs. We had carry over of many unsold pairs from last year’s antler collection, as well as those collected this year. We sold some of the "premium pairs" in the "1st Round" auction, but now have many wonderful matched pairs leftover for this 2nd Round auction.
We will not be selling the "big guy" beetle cleaned skull this year after all. It will be reserved for our next live auction.
Proceeds from the Scout antler auction benefit the Headwaters District Boy Scouts and the National Elk Refuge.
More information on the Auction page.
Venue For Antler Viewing and Pick Up
We are planning to have the antler ready to view at 7:00 AM this Saturday, October 23rd. Priority for entrance to view the antler will be given to those who are registered for the online auction. We will limit the number of people in to view the antlers as necessary. MASKS WILL BE REQUIRED, and we will have some available on site. Antler will be able to be picked up from this location Saturday until 6:00 PM.
"Twisted & Bewildered" is one of the most unusual beetled cleaned skull we have in the auction this year. It is a medium 6 x 6 with the left antler coming out almost from the center of the skull. Not sure what caused it, or if the other elk on the Refuge made fun of him, but you could own this unusual skull.
